I first got in to Pup Play through my ABDL side. There was some crossover as I was exploring and learning more about the ABDL community in my early days of being a kinkster and from the moment I saw Pup Hoods, I knew it was meant for me. It took me 6 years to push myself to take the plunge and explore my Pup Side, but I’m here and thriving now 🥰
My first event was Padded Pets in Glasgow. After spending many years exploring kink on my own, I was encouraged to attend an event. I knew nobody, was one of the first to arrive and wanted to leave within 5 minutes. I was anxious, scared, nervous and intimidated. I overheard a group of people talking about a video game that I love, and I bravely went over and interjected myself in to their conversation, from there, I went around finding other folk like me that had attended alone, or looked uncomfortable or lonely and tried to band together a little group so that we felt included and would make friends - it worked out, and I’ve been the outgoing social butterfly at every event I’ve been to since.
Pretty much always in my Pup Hood and more often than not in my rubber suit. Most of my outfit and gear is all colour co-ordinated to match my hood to a degree. I’m a naturally extroverted person, and being able to put on my hood and feel ‘free’ simply heightens that already extroverted personality.
I love the people, truthfully. I’ve made some amazing connections through the scene and I’ve met my boyfriend through the scene. It’s not always easy, it’s intimidating, it’s scary, it’s nerve wracking, that feeling never goes away, but there is always someone there to ease that and make you feel welcome, accepted, loved and appreciated within the scene. I love being that person for others now too, and repaying the kindness that was given to me in my early days and is still given and shown to me all these years later.
Just existing is good enough. You don’t need expensive gear, you don’t really need gear at all! It’s what YOU make of it.
