Both Launch Edition themes are now on offer from launch day to 31 December, and the theme picker finally explains what a Launch Edition is — including the part everybody asks about: wearing one for a second and switching straight back still keeps it for good. The Howl theme is called Nightcall. Sharing your about page now shows your card instead of a bare link. And your photo gallery is photos, with video where it belongs.
Themes
Both Launch Edition themes — Nightcall and Top 8 — are on offer from 23 September to 31 December. Nightcall's old window had opened and closed before Collr launched, which marked nobody. A Launch Edition is use it once and it is yours for good, so the window only decides how long you have to claim one.
The theme picker says what a Launch Edition is, on the tile. Each one carries its own closing date, a tile you have already earned says so, and the part people ask about is written down: wearing one for a second and switching straight back keeps it. There is no minimum time and no way to lose it by changing your mind.
Seasonal themes say the opposite where it matters — that they come back next year. A seasonal window and a Launch Edition window looked identical on a tile, and the difference is the whole point.
The Howl theme is now called Nightcall. Howl is also an event Collr lists, so one word meant two unrelated things, and the event's name belongs to the people who run it. Nothing changes on a page already using it, and the one member who earned it as a Launch Edition keeps it.
Your page
Your photo gallery is photographs. It had offered a YouTube link in the same slots, so twelve photos read as twelve photos-or-videos and a video had two homes. A video is a block you add to your page, which is where it already worked.
Sharing your about page shows your card. Pasting the longest thing you have written about yourself into a chat used to produce a bare grey link, while pasting your profile produced a designed card. It is the same card now, titled “About” and your name, so whoever you send it to can tell which page they are getting.
If you run events
One unreadable date in a series no longer costs you the rest of them. Collr brings in events from other sites, and a single date it could not read would stop the whole batch; now it takes the ones it understands and leaves that one.
Plans
The Premium list no longer offers video wallpapers. Video came off Collr yesterday and the list had not caught up — which matters more than a wrong word, because somebody could have paid for it.
